I noticed that you describe yourself as being non-religious, but I also noticed that you have the bands ‘Underoath’ and ‘For Today’ in as two of your your favourite bands. Both these bands are described as Christian bands or are linked with christianity. Does that bother you? Do you look into the lyrics and stuff? Or is it just because you like the music? I’m just curious for your opinion :)

August Burns Red, The Crimson Armada and The Devil Wears Prada are also Christian! It doesn’t bother me at all, I’m not a closed-minded person :)

I’m a very word-oriented person, so I do look into the lyrics of everything I listen to - with “Christian” bands (I say that loosely, because August Burns Red themselves have said “There’s no such thing as Christian music - music is music”), I find that their lyrics can apply/relate to other aspects of my life. I find them very inspirational, but obviously not in the same way that their Christian fans would. Lyrics that could be about being closer to God, God making you a better person and needing God in your life, I can take and relate to my family and my partner, y’know? I honestly think it’s all up to personal interpretation - that’s the best thing about music/lyrics!

Good question love, thank you!
